The Georgian Good Food Box program is an initiative of a number of
community nonprofit agencies desiring to promote good nutrition.
Good Food Boxes include an assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables and are available to everyone in the community.

The Georgian Good Food Box program offers high quality, wholesale-priced fruit and vegetables to South Georgian Bay residents.  In order to access our bulk-purchasing program, orders must be received at one of our order depots by the second Wednesday of the month.  The boxes are packed on the third Wednesday of the month and are ready for pick up at one of our pickup locations on the pack day.

What is the Good Food Box?
It's a non-profit buying club of fresh fruit and vegetables, by and for Simcoe County residents.

Who can participate?
Anyone interested in high quality fruits and vegetables for good value can participate.

How does it work?
You pre-order and pay before the second Wednesday of the month and the produce is picked up on the third Wednesday of the month.  Volunteers sort and pack the boxes for distribution.

What is the benefit?
1.  Eating more fruits & vegetables improves your health and well being.
2.  Fresh fruits and vegetables at wholesale prices.
3.  A newsletter with information from a registered dietician.

Our goal:
To make fresh, high quality fruits and vegetables available to everyone in Simcoe County and provide information about healthy food choices and preparation through our newsletters, community presentations and website.

Typical contents in a Good Food Box:
The basics each month: potatoes, carrots, onions and apples.  As well, lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, celery, broccoli, turnip, cabbage, bananas, oranges, grapefruit & cucumber may be included.
